Prayers have been answered. The weather gods have been kind as it looks like the epic World cup match between India and Pakistan will not get washed out to bad weather. The weather forecast predicts a cloudy day with minimal chances of rainfall in Manchester.
Team Pakistan has been practicing indoors as there was a slight drizzle on Friday and India is not scheduled to practice until Saturday. The men in blue would be eager to get on to the field as they have played very little cricket this tournament. They remain unbeaten and they will look to make it 3 victories in a row.
In a major blow to India, Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out for a couple of games to an injured finger and will be replaced by Rishabh Pant. Though Rishabh Pant can practice in the nets, he will not be allowed to play unless Team India officially rules out Dhawan from the tournament. Assistant coach Sanjay Bangar said that they do not want to rule out Dhawan so early and they are willing to wait for a couple of more days.
This match is important for both teams as a victory will put India in the top two of the table and Pakistan can earn a few points as they have won only 1 out of their 4 matches.
The India-Pakistan match is going to be a treat for the fans and a glorious day for those who are going to witness this epic battle in the Old Trafford Stadium.
