The one thing that’s currently on everyone’s mind right now is the outbreak of the coronavirus. Reports suggest that this deadly disease has spread to over 150 countries. With the virus spreading at a rapid rate, many people are asked to stay at home and practice social distancing.
As a result of social distancing, although people might not have to fear about putting their life at risk, one of the problem is that many of us suddenly have a lot more free time on our hands and we don’t know what to do with it. However, even if your staying at home there are several ways to keep yourselves occupied. Let us explore some of them.
1. Start baking- Now is the perfect time to grab your baking kit and start making some finger-licking pies, cupcakes or even try out immune-boosting recipes. Baking is a great way to distract your mind and to spend some quality time with your loved ones at home.
2. Indulge in arts and crafts- For those of you who always loved painting or knitting but couldn't find time due to your busy work schedule, why not utilize this time to do something you love. Well now that you have so much time in your hands, what are you waiting for, go find a small arts and crafts supply store in your neighborhood and create a masterpiece.
3. Do puzzles and play games- Another excellent way to keep your mind distracted from the pandemic, create some interesting puzzles or get competitive with a board game or card games. Playing games with your partner or your family not only adds joy to your life but it is also a way to relieve stress.
4. Exercise- Another great way to keep yourself entertained and also stay healthy is to exercise at home. If social distancing has made you feeling down, try doing yoga or any other form of exercise, a proven mood-booster. Along with workout, meditating for a few minutes everyday is also an effective way to destress your mind and stay healthy.
