It was love at first sight when Kirath met Sukhmani in Hyderabad a couple of months ago.A few conversations later, the Hyderabadi boy and the Delhi girl decided to spend the rest of their lives together– and their wedding was planned. Hailing from two completely different cultures, the couple’s dream of having a destination wedding made them head to Jaipur, India's 'Pink City' for its unmatched grandeur and old-world charm.
The nuptials was like in the movies – everything was larger than life, stunning and fairytale-like. Each ritual at the extravagant Punjabi wedding had its quotient of fun, glamour and opulence. The functions in Jaipur included a traditional haldi, fun welcome dinner, colourful mehendi, wild sangeet, ring ceremony, elegant wedding and a beautiful Sufi night. Each was planned to the hilt like a dream, with the grandest of outfits, jewellery, decorations, and artists.
To celebrate this union in Hyderabad, a grand reception was held at N Convention. The entire venue was done with colourful flowers and lights, and had live performances to enthral the guests. The evening saw rows of live food counters, unique alcohol-based chocolate stands, and mixologists churning out fancy cocktails. The newly-weds made a pretty picture in their perfectly coordinated outfits. Playing the perfect hosts were the groom’s parents Simmi and Ranbir Gandhi, who were proudly seen introducing the bride’s parents S. Kanwaljit Singh and Gurpreet Kaur to their friends. Guests had a blast, as they made merry and danced till the wee hours of the morning.
