Director Sreenu Vaitla had once ruled the industry with blockbuster movies like Dookudu, Namo Venkatesa, and Baadshah. He has now slowed down after back-to-back failures. Every since the movie Aagadu came out, Vaitla’s downfall began and he has been going through a bad phase ever since. Again, after Amar Akbar Anthony's disaster results, he decided to take a break!
After a long gap, he finally faced the media and gave the reason behind his break. He also admitted of making mistakes and explained what went wrong where – “Once I zero in on an idea or a script, I won't rethink again. There is no second thought about it. I go ahead with full confidence on the script. Only once in my life I had reworked upon a script. That was Dookudu. After Mahesh, producers everyone were full confident. 80 percent of pre-production was also done. But still I had doubt. I took break and reworked. Dookudu became blockbuster.” He said that he took the break to reinvent himself and is all set to make a grand comeback in 2020 – “Keeping 4 to 5 stories I have aside, I chose a different format script. And infused a lot of entertainment into the script. 80 percent script has been completed and balance 20 percent script work is going on. I'll make a proper announcement in the New Year. This is going to be out and out entertainer.”
