And although many appreciate the art of cooking with these all-natural ingredients, relatively few are aware of the skin and beauty benefits they carry. Turmeric

However, make sure that you use a very small amount, as turmeric’s rich colour may tinge your face. Because of this, we also advise that you use it before bedtime; you’ll have an easy time removing the residue in the morning using your daily cleanser! Easy-peasy! You may also combine turmeric and honey to create a thick paste that can be used as a face pack. Leave it on for about 20 minutes and then remove with a damp cloth. It will exfoliate the skin and add a natural glow, too.

Cinnamon
Cinnamon isn’t just a good addition to your favourite baked goodies; it can also have a positive impact on your skin. It’s been proven to stimulate the olfactories as well as blood circulation in the body. This means that cinnamon has the power to draw nutrients and oxygen straight to the skin, which will rejuvenate and nurture your skin to perfection. Its antibacterial properties can helpeliminate any pimples or acne, giving you a smooth finish!

For an easy zit-removal formula, mix a little bit of cinnamon with honey. Dab this mixture on zits and see the results! Cinnamon is great for many other home-remedies and face packs. You can also use cinnamon as a lip scrub or a lip balm by applying it directly to your lips. The spicy effect will push the blood to your lips, giving them a natural rosy tinge. Ginger
It’s no secret that ginger is used for many reasons apart from its rich flavour, and these include its medicinal properties. Ginger tea is said to do wonders for a sore throat, cold, and cough. But many don’t know the beauty benefits that ginger holds. When applied directly to the skin, ginger can bring a natural radiance, adding shine and glow. This readily available ingredient can have a greater impact on your skin than many other expensive skin products! And although it can cause slight skin irritation, the burning sensation will lessen over some time and the ginger will start doing its job. Once you rinse the ginger off, you’ll notice your skin has a fresh and bright feel to it!

Black Pepper
Black pepper is known to naturally create heat, which makes it a perfect blackhead treatment! These bad boys can exfoliate your skin, battling those nasty blackheads that are tough to get rid of. It loosens up skin pores and effectively removes blackheads and acne.

To create the face mask we recommend you get some black peppercorns and grind them into a fine powder by going old-school using a mortar and pestle. Combine this fine powder with a teaspoon of yogurt and apply the mixture on any unsightly areas. Just 5-10 minutes should be good enough for the black pepper to take effect.
