Italian naval architecture, Hydro Tec, was founded in 1995. Since then, it has been creating unique and timeless superyacht projects. Keeping true to its dedication, recently it revealed an extraordinary 65-meter explorer yacht concept, Vanguard. The name Vanguard was attached to the British battleships for more than 440 years; this yacht concept aims to remind you of those iconic vessels. In terms of innovation and exclusivity, it is designed to embody the essence and spirit of the Italian studio. This stunning explorer yacht was inspired by “a castle in the middle of the sea”, according to studio founder Sergio Cutolo. Vanguard is based on a displacement platform, which distorts the vertical position of the various decks. As such, mobile terraces in correspondence with the guest cabins and large spaces responsible for technical equipment and toys may benefit future owners.
The yacht consists of an ‘under-lower deck’, which is nothing but an engine room. There are various amenities and comfort one can experience onboard. The lower deck becomes fully usable while the central part of the beach area is occupied by a large heated swimming pool, with a foldable side that quickly transforms into an extension of the beach area itself if the weather conditions allow it. The main deck has a large saloon with a dining room. There is also an owner’s suite, with a large study and relaxation area. An incredibly spacious bedroom with two terraces, with dressing and bathroom facilities, also included. The upper deck has a cinema area and a lovely outdoor patio. Hydro Tec’s Vanguard Explorer Concept would come with a hybrid propulsion package, including two MTU engines and two electric motors, that allows this yacht to achieve speeds of up to about 10 knots in electric diesel mode. - Web: luxatic.com.
