Popularly known as Haribhai Jariwala, Sanjeev Kumar will be getting his own biography. This announcement was made on the occasion of his 34th death anniversary. This biography will be penned down by Reeta Gupta and will be co-authored by Uday Jariwala – nephew of the late legendary actor. He is also the head of the Sanjeev Kumar Foundation.
Confirming the news, Uday Jariwala said – “The legend of Sanjeev Kumar deserves to be told, as he left us too early. The enduring charm to his ‘common man' appeal remains. Producers continued to release films (a total of 10), up to 1993, eight years after his death. Even today, Indians across the globe see him as an iconic performer.”
The actor was 47 years old when he passed away in the year 1985, due to a heart attack. A National award winner, he was famously known for his stunning performances in movies such as Aandhi, Angoor, Dastak, and Koshish. This biography is expected to be ready by November 2020 – the veteran actor’s 35th death anniversary. - IANS
