The father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary is just around the corner and president of India Ram Nath Kovind launched a new web site and logo for the upcoming celebrations.
A statement given by the Ministry of Culture said, "The portal - gandhi.gov.in - is participatory in nature and all participating organisations will be able to upload their activities regarding the commemoration of the occasion". The new web portal will have visitors belonging to different geography. It will provide information regarding the Gandhian philosophy, literature, audios, videos, and some rare pictures. The website has introduced a new section called the Gandhipedia, which will have place to find all of the knowledge shared by Gandhi and this will continue to grow with time. As far as the logos are concerned, the branding for them will be done through Air India aircrafts, state roadway buses, Government advertisements besides public sector initiatives, Government websites, and trains.
