Pooja Hegde feels Telugu is a very difficult language

The Telugu movie industry has always been very warm and welcoming while encouraging new talents, irrespective of their region and mother tongue. In fact, many of the industry’s lead actresses are non-Telugu speaking women, and Pooja Hegde is one of them! A Kannada girl born and brought up in Mumbai, Pooja’s beauty and talent has made the Telugu audience crave to see more of her in South movies.

Pooja recently learned Telugu and dubbed for two of her movies. She said, “Telugu is a difficult language because it is not my first language. I have dubbed for Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and I leant how to say a dialogue while performing the scene, instead of just dubbing.” She also added that people in Bollywood think that she hails from Hyderabad, and she takes it as a compliment. The actress further revealed that after her movie Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, people have appreciated her dubbing skills. When asked about her dancing with maverick dancer Allu Arjun, Pooja said that she did not share much dance steps with the actor in the movie.

Also, actresses like Anushka Shetty, Asin, Charmi, Rakul Preet Singh, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Nithya Menen are not Telugu girls and are highly admired for learning the language. Now it’s only laudable to see Pooja falling into this inspiring category!       - IANS
