The O.C. Is Being Turned Into A Musical

If you've spent the past eight years missing Marissa Cooper, Ryan Atwood, Seth Cohen and Summer Roberts, then you're not alone. The producers of the ‘Cruel Intentions’, Jordan Ross and Lindsey Rosin are bringing the 2004 CW show, ‘The O.C’., as a musical in a one-night-only special event in L.A. The  ‘The O.C’musical adaptation follows in the footsteps of hit 1999 teen movie ‘Cruel Intentions’, which was also made into a stage show.

The project, which will be adapted and directed by Jordan Ross, with Lindsey Rosin producing, reported Variety.

Autumn Reeser, known to ‘The O.C’. fans as ‘Taylor’, has joined the cast of the show as ‘Julie Cooper’, better known as Marissa’s mother. Also in the cast are ‘Jersey Boy’s’ Drew Seeley as 'Luke Ward', Christine Lakin as 'Kirsten Cohen' and Buzzfeed's Jarett Wieselman as creator Josh Schwartz.

An official page for the show has been set up on, and TV and theatre bosses have revealed the musical will be staged in Los Angeles in August (15), but no further details were announced as WENN went to press.
