Manjula Jewels

From a small workshop in Hyderabad to over 2,000 clients across the globe, Manjula Jewels has flourished into a successful brand. This jewellery brand was established in the year 2010 by a post graduate student from Osmania University, Manjula Rao, who is also a gemmologist and a diamond graduate.

Manjula entered the field of jewellery by chance; it was never planned. While working with her husband in the gold mining industry, in Africa, she was assigned the duty of researching and doing quality check. She slowly developed an interest in gemstones and gold, and soon started designing jewellery for her cousins and friends who reside in various parts of the world. The marketing of the company is handled by Manjula’s 21-year-old daughter Shriya. With an eye for detail, she also gives valuable inputs for designing of the jewellery. Manjula’s parents Sulochana and Gopal Rao too are very enthusiastic and often help the mother-daughter duo with their business.

The label is known for its south Indian bridal jewellery, including chokers, chaand balis, maang tika, waist belt, long harams, and bridal sets. Manjula and her daughter design Kundan, Polki, gold and diamond jewellery by drawing inspiration from antique temple architecture and various other elements of nature.

Manjula Jewels’ customers are mainly from India and America. Apart from the bridal collection, they offer light-weight jewellery that is affordable. They also have lot of pieces that can be used in multiple ways. The brand only uses diamonds that are VVS and EF graded, and all the jewellery is made by a team of extremely skilled and talented workers. In fact, each of their pieces is a form of art.

Renowned for their prêt line, the label provides their clients with the choicest of designs and delivers unprecedented quality and craftsmanship. Majority of their clients are working women and the price of the products ranges from Rs 1 lakh to 50 lakhs. Manjula Jewels also sells customised pieces that are made keeping in mind the taste and preference of their clients. Some of their clients include celebrities like Samantha Akkineni, Rakul Preet Singh, Lakshmi Manchu, and Lavanya Tripathi. Currently, the brand is designing a few exclusive pieces for the Telugu movie Srinivasa Kalyanam, too.
