John Legend & Chrissy Teigen’s Former Home in Beverly Hills is for Sale

American singer and songwriter John Legend and television personality wife Chrissy Teigen moved in to a new home in Beverly Hills last summer, however the couple have not yet sold their old home, the one they bought from Rihanna in 2016. Their previous mansion, also in Beverly Hills, is where the couple lived when their children—Luna Simone and Miles Theodore Stephens— were born in 2016 and 2018 respectively. Contemporary in style, with large rooms and breathtaking views, the house was renovated to suit the couple’s taste and requirements.

After purchasing the 90210 house from Rihanna, John and Chrissy spent considerable time and money on creating their own style. Changing the colour scheme to warm tones and redecorating the kitchen in a way that would make for a good set for Chrissy’s cooking show were some of the major changes.

Chrissy's kitchen was the ideal venue for chef-author to test and film

First built in 1966, the 8,520-square-foot home has been redecorated with state-of-the-art techniques and interiors and houses seven bedrooms and eight baths. The 33-foot ceiling makes a great impression upon arrival, as does the curved staircase leading to the second floor catwalk.

The family room has been designed tastefully; this is where John kept his grand piano. The large sunken living room that has a floor-to-ceiling glass wall provides for scintillating views of the canyon. Next up, Chrissy’s kitchen makes for an ideal venue for her to create and film her food shows, and whip up some amazing dishes.

The master bedroom suite has a fireplace made of brass and concrete, a floor to ceiling glass balcony providing breathtaking views, his-and-her dressing rooms, walk-in closets that are more like fashion showrooms, and an Italian-inspired “Glam Room.” All seven bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and balconies. The mansion also features a gym and a relaxed home theatre room. Some of the special finishes include mandala-patterned ceilings from Thailand, ebonized cerused oak floors, clay-and-steel-rolled walls, onyx sinks, and Italian-quartz countertops.

The formal drawing room is classy and grand.

The home theatre room is spacious yet cosy for a movie marathon with friends and family.

The hone spoke columes of their own style and personality.

The outdoor area that is meant for entertainment includes a pool terrace, which has a heated saltwater pool, a jacuzzi, chef’s grill, and wood-fired oven. A grapevine-shaded pergola makes for a romantic spot for alfresco dining. The large home also has solar power and a 70kW generator.

The master dressing room is what dreams are made of.

The pool deck is a perfect spot to soak in the Californian sun.

The star-struck pad is now made more affordable with a substantial price drop of $6 million. The celebrity home is listed with Marshall Peck of Douglas Elliman, Beverly Hills, and it now costs $17.95 million.      - Niharika
