Although we will never be able to see John Krasinski as anyone other than Jim Halpert from The Office, by now everyone knows that Krasinski is an incredible actor, director and producer. His very own directorial The Quiet Place which starred him and his real-life wife Emily Blunt came out just earlier this year and received rave reviews from critics everywhere. The actor was asked how he manages to balance everything and he revealed that he doesn’t find it tough. “When you say it like that I get worried, and think how I am balancing it.” But on a more serious note, he explained, “The reason why I do all these things is because when I got 'The Office' I thought I was so lucky and that I didn't deserve it. So, I started learning everything so that they think i deserve it. I started going in editing bays, directing, writing, getting a sense of the whole world. I feel when you get an opportunity one should do what it takes."
John also talked about his career choices during his appearance at the Prime Video event at Mayfair’s historic Curzon Cinemas. He took a break from shooting with the second season of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan to announce new characters such as his “new female counterpart, a friend and enemy of Jack, played by Noomi Rapace.”
"She has been amazing, we are lucky to have her. And from 'House of Cards' we have Michael Kelly, playing my CIA boss," he said.
The show, which has been given to us by the Lost team, co-showrunner Carlton Cuse and writer Graham Rolanf, Platinum Dunes, Skudance Media and Paramount TV, is a total remake with a modern sensibility of the popular hero, starring Krasinski and Abbie Cornish.
On the show, the actor said: "I got lucky by doing a long form of storytelling because it is hard to make a movie with that much incredible material and rich detail."
