Jessica Alba Might Sell Honest Company

Actress and business mogul Jessica Alba may be selling her consumer packaged goods startup The Honest Company for $1 billion to London-listed Unilever.

The company, which owns Dove soap, Lynx body sprays and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream is in talks to acquire the Honest Company in a deal valued at more than $1 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, citing anonymous sources.

Alba founded the company with Christopher Gavigan, Sean Kane and Brian Lee in 2011 with a mission to sell sustainable, natural baby, beauty and household products that are safe for families and children. Honest Company which is based in Santa Monica, was valued at $1.7 billion in August 2015 when it raised $100 million from investors.
