Ahead of its much-awaited launch of the new iPhones, Apple announced a new addition to the iPad family.
iPad Pro sporting a 12.9-inch 2732 x 2048 pixel Retina Display is here! Measuring just 6.9mm thick, it weighs 713 grams. The internals of the iPad Pro include the Apple A9X chipset that claims to offer better performance than 80 percent of portable laptops out there.
iPad has a Smart Keyboard ($169) with a smart connector; and Smart Pencil ($99), besides integrated Microsoft Office and Adobe apps. iPad Pro will also work with apps like AutoCAD and Autodesk.
It supports multitasking with Split Screen app view, where two apps can be shown at the same time.
The iPad Pro will be available for purchase starting in November on Apple.com, in Apple Stores, and via select carriers and authorized resellers. Apple hasn’t yet shared a specific date or pre-order information.
The most powerful iPad has a price tag to match. iPad Pro starts at $799 for the 32GB model with Wi-Fi, goes up to $949 for the 128GB model with Wi-Fi, and costs $1079 for the 128GB model with Wi-Fi and cellular capabilities.
