Gisele Bundchen Retires From The Runway

Gisele Bündchen has taken her final bow. Just a month after announcing her retirement from the runway, Bündchen bid adieu to the catwalk and walked in her last show for Brazilian brand Colcci during São Paulo Fashion Week on Wednesday.
The supermodel has enjoyed a two-decade career, after being credited for moving the industry away from the 'heroin chic' look of the Nineties embodied by the likes of Kate Moss, to a new sexy era. Her retirement announcement has been big news in her home country of Brazil, hyped up by an underlying desire to showcase a successful homegrown star.

The wife of New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady took a little walk down memory lane early Wednesday on Instagram, saying, "I am grateful that at 14, I was given the opportunity to start this journey. Today after 20 years in the industry, it is a privilege to be doing my last fashion show by choice and yet still be working in other facets of the business. #firstrunway #14yearsold."
For her final show she walked for Colcci  theBrazilian streetwear label she has represented since 2005. She made three appearances, opening the show in an A-line dress in white lace and lacey, knee-high black boots and closing it in a sundress with a full skirt in ivory and salmon stripes.

From 2000 to 2005, Gisele was in a relationship with actor Leonardo DiCaprio. She married NFL star Brady in 2009. The 34-year-old mother of two and the world's highest paid model, in the past 12 months alone she has amassed $47 million (or $128,000 a day).
