Get Cooking: Plum Cobbler

All purpose flour

½ cup (for the jam filling)

 Instructions:

1. Take 4 cups of fresh plums, peel them and cut them into cubes.

2.Place a pan on the stove, add plum pieces and add 1/4 cup of water. Allow it to boil, then add ¼ cup of sugar. On medium heat, keep stirring until it thickens. Do not allow this to cool for long.

3.While the plum mixture is boiling, add cornstarch and some water. Gently mix it.

4.In a large mixing bowl, add 1 cup of all purpose flour and about 50 grams of butter. Using your hands, gently mix both the ingredients. Add milk and keep mixing.

5.Take a pie pan and place a  wet baking paper. Pour the plum mixture and add a layer of the batter. (You can also do three layers: one layer of batter, then the plum mixture and another layer of batter).

6.Place the pie pan in the oven for about 20- 25 minutes at 200°C. Once the pie crust turns golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow it cool. Serve with vanilla ice cream
