Game of Thrones Final Season To Release In April 2019

The time has finally come! The final season of the epic period drama fantasy series Game of Thrones is finally getting close. The last season, which is its eight season, is all set to make a comeback in April 2019. The news was internationally announced in a promotional video which was released by HBO on Tuesday. It was a recap of all the epic moments on the show so far, building up to this final confrontation with the White Walkers from the other side of the wall. Although no date has been specified yet, the video has given eager fans that they can expect one soon.

The show is based on the books by George R.R. Martin’s novel series, A Song of Fire and Ice. The books follow multiple plotlines, exploring the world of Westeros. Everything boils down to the constant quest to claim the Iron Throne, and also sheds light on the dangers lurking beyond the wall which protects Westeros from outside threat. The show has become a global phenomenon due to its unexpected turns and deaths, playing on the shock factor to keep viewers hooked. The show airs in India on Star World. It has made actors like Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Maisie Williams, Kit Harington, and Iwan Rheon global stars. Although the main series is about to come to an end, news is that HBO already has multiple spin-off series panned for the future of the Game of Thrones universe.
