Game of Thrones breaks records with 32 Emmy nominations!

Game of Thrones has broken records by earning 32 nominations for the 2019 Emmys – it’s the most for a single season of a show. The nominations were recently announced for the 71st annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

After wrapping up their story with the final season earlier this year, Game of Thrones scored 32 nominations. The show broke the record that was previously held by NYPD Blue, which had earned 26 nominations in the year 1994.

Some of the nominations are: Outstanding Drama series, Best Actor (Kit Harington), Best actress (Emilia Clarke), Best Supporting Actress (Gwendoline Christie, Lena Headey, Sophie Turner, and Maisie Williams), and Best Supporting actor (Alfie Allen, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Peter Dinklage). The 71st Emmy Awards will be held on September 22 and will be aired in India on Star World.     - IANS
