What inspires you and what is the most exciting part of your job?
Everything around me is an inspiration. People, culture, places, new experiences – there is beauty in everything and in beauty lays the inspiration for creativity. This for me is a dream job. I do what makes me happy, get a chance to meet new people, share ideas, and contribute to the world of art and fashion through our collaboration with designers.

Who is the one person you’d most like to go out for dinner with?
Internationally, it would have to be Meryl Streep, for her amazing grace and personality. And in India, it’s Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

How do you define style, and who do you think embodies this in India and internationally?
Style is wearing your confidence with ease. There are quite a few people, but the first names that come to my mind are Rekha, Twinkle Khanna, and Malaika Arora from India, and Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez, internationally. Even though they follow very different trends, what strikes me about these personalities is that they all have very strong individualistic styles, which they carry effortlessly.

If there was one thing that you could tell your younger self, what would it be?
The same thing I tell my children: Time and tide wait for none. Never stop trying, and it’s never too late to start.

What do you do to unwind?
I spend time with my family, read, and listen to music,

Can you run us through what a day in your life is like?
My day starts with sending my kids off to school, after which I take some time off for myself to get things organised for the day while sipping my cup of coffee. In between all this I also try to get some exercise, and then get ready to start my day at the office. In the evening I usually try to wrap up my work early so I can come back home and spend some quality time with my family.

What can we look forward to at your trunk shows?
Well, we are primarily an online platform; our shows are designed to give people the touch-and-feel experience. We try and make our shows as interactive as they possibly can be. We feel these shows should be much more than brands exhibiting their garments and people walking in to see the quality, price, and look.

We understand that trunk shows can also be where friends meet, have a good time while shopping and selecting beautiful things for each other. Hence, we ensure there are stylists, fitness experts, make-up artists to help people put a complete look together. The ultimate aim is to make the experience fun and easy for consumers.

How do you curate clothes for the exhibition?
We curate on the basis of the audience; each city has its own style and liking. So keeping that in mind, we choose design, style, quality, comfort, reliability, price, and merits of the designer.

What’s your take on the style of people in Hyderabad?
Women of Hyderabad are very much in sync with the latest trends, style and fashion. They are well informed about new weaves, fabrics, and are quick to stay in trend bringing their own style and comfort, which is very impressive. The city seems to be evolving as the fashion hub of the south today.

Since Valentine’s Day is around the corner, what is your take on it and how do you plan to spend the day?
I think love should be celebrated everyday but with our busy schedules it helps to have a day dedicated to love so people who get caught with their day to day life, can take some time off to enjoy with their loved ones and cherish sweet memories. This Valentine’s Day, my husband and I are planning to go out for dinner with some of our close friends to relive fun times  remembering our journey of love.        ---- as told to Suneela
