Shraddha Kapoor will be teaming up with Rajkummar Rao for a horror film “Stree”, directed by Amar Kaushik, written by Raj and Dk and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Raj and Dk.
The horror film is based on a true phenomenon, which happened in the 1990’s before Bengaluru became a vibrant city, it is believed that a witch used to roam the streets of the city and hunt for prey. she would knock on the doors at night and whoever opened the door would die in the next 24 hours. Eventually people started panicking and soon they have found a solution. They would write 'Nale Ba', which means come tomorrow in Kannada on the door to ward off the evil spirit. It is believed that the witch would come and see the inscription and leave. This myth was believed to be the truth and April 1st is celebrated in some parts of Bengaluru as 'Nale Ba Day'.
The film has been shot in Chanderi, near Bhopal. The makers of the film unveiled the teaser and Rajkummar Rao shared it on Twitter with a caption, “Stree ke baare mein zyada nahi jaanta hoon, bas sab kehte hain aa rahi hai woh.
