Loaded with anti-oxidants and beneficial nutrients, Coffee not only lowers the risk of diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, protects against Parkinson’s, fights depression, reduces the risk of heart disease but also helps one to get a beautiful glowing skin. The caffeine in the coffee is known to benefit skin by exfoliating dead skin, reducing eye puffiness and inflammation and also tightening the skin.
1. Face scrub and mask- The caffeine present in coffee has collagen and elastin boosting benefits which prevents moisture loss. Mix three teaspoon of ground coffee along with half a cup of yogurt, for dry skin substitute the yogurt with full fat milk. Now blend the ingredients to make a thick paste, to this add one teaspoon honey and apply this pack on your face and scrub it for about five minutes. Leave it on for about ten minutes and wash it off with cold water. Apply this pack twice a week to notice significant results.
2. Body scrub- The Caffeine present in Coffee will eliminate unwanted oils, it exfoliates the skin and reduces the appearance of cellulite thereby making the skin glow. Mix equal proportions of coconut oil and freshly grounded coffee, blend it in a blender and use as a scrub for the whole body, followed by a bath with luke warm water.
3. Foot scrub- Coffee grounds act as a natural exfoliator, and remove unwanted cells and speeds up skin’s natural renewal process. To a cup of strong black coffee, add four tablespoons of palm sugar and make it into a paste, to this add four drops of peppermint oil, and allow it to steep for a minute or two. Now take this mixture and scrub it all over both the feet and wash off with warm water, once you dry your feet, to retain the moisture, apply cocoa butter.
