Detox and cleanse your body with some of these vital Ingredients

With all the seasonal festivities and parties lined up, it’s quite possible that your food and alcohol intake will play havoc on your body. It’s always best to detox and cleanse your body before and after a long night out. Rather than asking you to go on a crash diet, we suggest adding some of these ingredients to your daily diet to help maintain a healthy liver while boosting your immune system.

Turmeric:
This Ayurvedic spice is a wonderful addition to your daily diet, as it’s a powerful antioxidant that expels toxins exceptionally. Turmeric contains a large amount of curcumin, a phytochemical component that promotes anti-inflammatory activity and helps clear toxins from the blood and liver. With strong anti-cancer properties as well, turmeric is surely one of the healthiest spices around.

Cabbage:
This low-fat, high fibre vegetable is an all-round cleanser. Not only does it detox your body by ridding it of the toxins that are built-up in the liver, but it also helps with weight loss. An excellent source of nutrition, this cruciferous vegetable contains a good dose of vitamin K, vitamin C, antioxidants, alkaline minerals and omega-3 fatty acids.

Beetroot:
One of the easiest ways to detox is to have a glass of beetroot juice every morning. This root vegetable is highly rich in antioxidants, and contains betaine, pectin fibre, and betalain pigments, which all aid in eliminating toxins from your liver and improve blood circulation. With a solid amount of nutrients and electrolytes, beets also provide a major boost to your immune system and help remedy digestive disorders.

Green Tea:
A cup of green tea every day will ensure that any free radicals that can damage or kill healthy cells are diminished. With high levels of antioxidants called catechins, green tea aids in digestion, and leaves you feeling less bloated. While cleansing your liver and inhibiting growth of bacteria, green tea hydrates your body and also rejuvenates it with energy with the small amount of caffeine present in it.
