Ever since her tragic hospitalization just under two weeks ago, Demi Lovato has constantly been in the news. It all started when Lovato was found unconscious in her Los Angeles house on Tuesday morning, July 31st, and was discovered by her assistant. People have been trying their best to debunk the mystery of what exactly happened and given the singer’s troubled past, the theories have been quite scary. Fans have patiently been waiting for a statement from Lovato’s team or the singer herself. Demi has finally spoken out about the incident, taking to her Instagram to write, “I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.” She went on to add, “I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well. To my fans, I am forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout this past week and beyond. Your positive thoughts and prayers have helped me navigate through this difficult time.”
The 25-year-old has been at Cedars-Sinai hospital in California for about over a week by now. She was immediately joined by family upon hospitalization. Her former beau, Wilmer Valderrama also arrived at the hospital to show support to the artist and to check up on her. Fans are positive that that really helped Lovato as she is very open about the fact that she still has feelings for Valderrama. The Sober singer continued, “I want to thank my family, my team, and the staff at Cedars-Sinai who have been by my side this entire time. Without them I wouldn’t be here writing this letter to all of you.” Although the details have not been disclosed, hopefully this will be he push she needs to finally end this vicious cycle once and for all.
