Delicious and Easy to Make Guacamole

A classic Mexican dish, guacamole is derived from two Aztec Nahuatl words—ahuacatl (avocado) and molli (sauce). As the name suggests, it is a dip made of avocados, lime and other ingredients that is served with tortilla chips, fajitas or as a spread on toast. The recipe below is simple, fresh and always a hit with everyone! So go on and try it out!

Preparation time: 10 minutes; Serves 2 to 4

Avocados                                 2 ripe

Salt                                          ¼ tsp

Fresh lime or lemon juice       1 tsp

Onion (minced)                       2-4 tsp

Chili or jalapeno                     1-2 (minced)

Cilantro                                   2 tbsp

Tomato                                    ¼ (minced)

  1. Cut the avocados into half and remove the pit. Score the inside of the avocado with a knife and scoop out the flesh with a spoon. Place the avocado in a bowl.
  2. Using a fork, mash the avocado. Don’t mash it too much as guacamole should be a little chunky.
  3. Add remaining ingredients to the bowl and mix. Adjust it according to your taste.
  4. Garnish with red radish. Best served with tortilla chips or toast.
