Croatia may donate World Cup prize money to children’s charity

Croatia was recently in the news for defeating Denmark, Russia and Iceland and England in the World Cup 2018. The team not only made the country proud by playing against France in the finals but also with their amazing gesture of donating the money they received for a charitable organisation.

To everyone surprise the team made it to the finals and they played against France. However, the team stood as the runners-up with a score of 2 goals. While France scored 4 goals. According to some reports Croatia made more than £20 million. A few rumours doing rounds suggest that the players and coaching staff have decided to donate the money to a children’s charity. The money given by the team will be used for underprivileged children to aid their summer holidays.

However, if reports are true then this is not the first time that a football team has decided to donate the prize money to a charitable organisation. Earlier England also donated money they won in World Cup.
