Chilli Cauliflower

Having friends over is no longer a daunting task especially if food is a crucial part of all your best conversations. There is no reason to fret over making sure that your guests are comfortable and at ease. Here’s a recipe that won’t take you longer than 10 minutes to make your friends feel at home. All you have to do is take a small break into the kitchen, pick a knife and a pan and get the conversation started at your party with these hot, sweet and spicy, batter-fried florets!

Chilli Cauliflower

Small flower of cauliflower
Flour (maida)
 Cornflour
Salt
Soya Sauce
Chilli Sauce
Tomato Sauce
Vinegar
Green Chillies
Garlic
Coriander
Sugar
Pepper

1 ½ tbsp
1 ½ tbsp
½ tsp                
1-1 ½ tbsp
2 ½ tbsp
5 tbsp
1 tbsp
4-5 (slit lengthwise)
6 flakes (crushed)
3 tbsp (chopped)
¼ tsp
¼ tsp

Instructions:

1.    Mix flour, cornflour and salt. Add enough water to make a thick, consistent batter

2.    Chop gobhi in small to medium size florets. Dip each piece in the batter and let them fry to a golden brown colour on medium heat.

3.    Heat 2 tbsp oil. Add green chillies and garlic. Let them spark. Reduce the heat. Add salt, pepper and sugar. Add soya sauce, chilli sauce, tomato sauce and lastly, vinegar. Stir well.

4.    Mix the fried florets into the freshly prepared masala. Serve hot.
