Karl Lagerfeld fashion designer and creative director of Chanel presented a magnificent Grecian themed cruise fashion show in Paris. The designer chose to bring the wonders of the ancient Greek world to Grand Palais through a collection called ‘La Modernité de l’Antiquité’ by creating a replica of the Temple of Poseidon with stones and marble like structures.
In Greek mythology, one of the ways in which humans were depicted was through red and black figured pottery paintings. Lagerfeld to bring out the Grecian theme has remodeled the motifs in column dresses and the models were made to walk on the runway by wearing them along with iconic gladiator sandals with heels. As the show started models walked the runway wearing wide and breezy silhouette, as the show was drawing towards the end models were seen wearing pastel shades of pink and cream bias-draped dresses accessories with golden headbands and nymph like waves.
