Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been pronouced guilty in the blackbuck poaching case. He is sentenced to five years in prison with a fine of ten thousand rupees.
In the year 1998, while shooting for the film “Hum Saath Saath Hain”, the actor along with his co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam were accused of poaching blackbucks in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The actor is convicted for killing two blackbucks in Kankani village.
Upon hearing the verdict, celebrities from the film fraternity such as Kabir Bedi, Subhash Ghai, Varun Dhawan and Arjun Rampal showed support to Salman. Jaya Bachchan expressed her thoughts to a leading daily, she said, “I feel bad. He should be given relief. He has done a lot of humanitarian work”.
