The Body Shop is popular cosmetic brand for offering natural and organic beauty products has collaborated with a leading non-profit organisation Cruelty Free International, to launch a campaign titled Forever Against Animal Testing , which aims to protect animals by banning testing of cosmetic ingredients and products on them by 2020.
The Body Shop has been against animal testing for quite some time now and some of the humane ways in which the brand tests their products are testing on reconstituted human skin, testing on humans and computer modeling. According to PR Newswire, Jessie Macneil-Brown ,Senior Manager of International Campaigns and Corporate Responsibility at The Body Shop says “The Body Shop passionately believes that no animal should be harmed in the name of cosmetics and that animal testing on products and ingredients is outdated, cruel and unnecessary. This is why The Body Shop and Cruelty Free International have partnered to deliver the largest and most ambitious campaign ever to seek a global ban on the use of animals to test cosmetic products and ingredients”.
The Body Shop and Cruelty Free International encourage people to sign the petition by visiting the website thebodyshop.com/ban-animal-testing or at any of leading The Body Shop stores.
