Bill Murray made one more memorable entrance on Tuesday for his appearance on David Letterman’s Late Show — the last one before Letterman signs off tonight. On Letterman's finale tonight, there will be some surprise appearances, but no sit-down interviews.
The actor was Letterman’s first guest on NBC's Late Night in 1982 and CBS's Late Show in 1993, so it was only appropriate for Bill to make an appearance before Dave's last episode on Wednesday. The actor was a guest on Tuesday's episode, in which he began his segment by emerging from a gigantic cake, resulting in him getting covered in frosting.
Dressed in a blue jumpsuit and goggles, and covered head-to-toe in white cream icing, Murray then gave Letterman a big bear hug.
After the show, Murray, still head-to-toe in head in cake, led a crowd outside the Ed Sullivan Theater as they sang, “All we are saying is more Worldwide Pants,” a reference to Letterman’s production company.
David Letterman’s final episode of “The Late Show”, which is being billed as "an hour filled with surprises, memorable highlights, the show’s final Top Ten List and more," airs Wednesday, May 20 on CBS.
