Beauty tips for winter brides: face and hair

As the wedding date comes closer, every bride wants to look her absolute best on her big day. And while winter brides need not worry about frizzy hair, and melting makeup, however those getting married in colder weather climate have their own beauty emergencies to deal with.

Here is one effective beauty tip for face and another one for hair-

Face: Cool temperatures can take a toll on the face, by removing natural oils from the skin’s surface. It dulls and dries the complexion. Drinking green tea daily for a few days before the wedding not only helps with weight loss, but the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties brighten the skin and help combat dryness too. When mixed with honey, green tea can also be used to make an exfoliating facemask. Incorporate broccoli in your diet, as it protects skin membranes and prevents skin damage. Avoid using cosmetic products that contain alcohol. Choose herbal products instead.

Hair: The cold air strips the moisture from the strands, making hair brittle and prone to damage. Due to the lack of moisture, the scalp becomes dry, leading to dandruff and hairfall. Brides can ensure healthy and shiny locks with a simple haircare routine. Apply a mixture of warm olive or coconut oil and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Massage the mixture into the scalp and leave it in for 20-30 minutes. Your hair needs all the moisture it can get during the cold weather, and this makes conditioning absolutely essential.
