The 69th Primetime Emmy Awards is easily one of the biggest nights in television, which means two major things: the hottest fashion moments and can’t-miss beauty looks. While it’s technically a night to celebrate the best of the best in film, the short walk down the red carpet is paved with iconic beauty flashes that live on for years to come. From Jessica Biel’s sexy pompadour and Sarah Hyland’s smoky eye to Zoë Kravitz glowing skin, the best beauty looks are far from boring. Read on to see the best of the best from the starry night. – Anisha
Actress Zoë Kravitz’s makeup artist, Nina Park, kept things simple by applying a coral lip colour and a thin cat eye, allowing her signature glowing skin to receive all of the attention it deserves. Nina treated Zoë with a Korean face mask to moisturise the skin, followed by applying YSL Forever Youth Liberator Serum and Top Secrets Instant Moisture Glow Moisturizer, all this before applying any makeup. It provided immediate results to tighten, brighten, and freshen the skin, which made it perfect for the big event.
Makeup artist Allan Avendaño gave Sarah Hyland a look rooted in shades of copper, bronze, and champagne, which although may sound intimidating, is incredibly easy to apply. The secret? Keep all the shades slightly shimmery. For a romantic look, Allan dusted on a honey-hued blush to the apples of her cheeks to tie the champagne eye shadow colour together. And for that perfect smoky eye, Allan layered the lightest hue over the brow bone, then a medium hue on the lid, and finally a deep hue in the crease.
Jessica Biel’s voluptuous hair was the real star of the show. Her hairstylist, Adir Abergel, gathered her hair up into a bouffant with the help of Virtue Create Uplifted Volumizing Whip. He recreated this sexy style with cascading curls falling around her shoulders and then used Kenra Volume Spray 25 on the ends for a shiny look. After the blow dry, Adir locked her style with Pristine Beauty No Scary Hairy. But what made the hair stand out even more was the actress’s brunette mane, which was highlighted with blond streaks.
