Come Monday, the trailer for Janhvi Kapoor’s debut flick, Dhadak, hit. The movie also stars Ishaan Khatter alongside Janhvi as her romantic interest and is the duo’s first step into the world of Bollywood. As we all know, the moment will be bittersweet for the Kapoor family due to the sudden demise of Janhvi’s mother, the legendary actress Sridevi. Janhvi’s big brother, actor Arjun Kapoor, stepped in to give his sister a few encouraging words in the form of an emotional note which he shared via social media. He started the note by apologizing for not being with her on her big day and went on to give her some wise advice. “Tomorrow you will be a part of the audience forever #JanhviKapoor cause your trailer comes out… Firstly, sorry I’m not there in Mumbai but I’m by your side, don’t worry.
I just wanted you to know this profession is amazing if you work hard, be honest, learn to take the accolades with the brickbats, respect opinions, yet follow your own path & instinct. It’s not gonna be easy but I know you are ready for all the madness that will ensue.” He then went on to add, “All the best for #Dhadak! I’m certain that my friends @ShashankKhaitan & @karanjohar have presented you & #IshaanKhatter as the modern Romeo & Juliet with elan!!!” The young star immediately replied to her sibling, writing, “I’ll make you’ll proud I promise.” along with an adorable red heart.
Reports suggest that Janhvi and family, sister, Khushi Kapoor and father, Boney Kapoor, are all set to join Arjun in London, post the trailer launch. Arjun has showed non-stop support for his family, making sure to be there for them since the veteran actors’ demise in Dubai.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar, Dhadak is a remake of the Marathi film Sairat. It is set to release on July 20.
