Shoaib Malik announces his retirement from ODI's

Pakistani cricketer and all rounder, Shoaib Malik announced his retirement from One Day International cricket (ODI).

Shoaib Malik is an all-round player. So far he played around 287 matches with a score of over 7500 runs and 158 wickets. He always planned to retire after the world cup 50-over format. The cricketer announced his retirement after his team played against Bangladesh at Lord's Cricket Ground, London. Although he retired from ODI cricket, he will still continue to play T20 cricket.

Shoaib took to his instagram and shared a picture of himself walking away from his teammates with his head held high. He captioned the image as, "Today I retire from One Day International cricket. Huge Thank you to all the players I have played with, coaches I have trained under, family, friends, media, and sponsors. Most importantly my fans, I love you all‬ ‪#PakistanZindabad". 

Shoaib's wife and tennis star, Sania Mirza shared a picture of the cricketer on her instagram. She wrote, "Every story has an end, but in life every ending is a new beginning’ @realshoaibmalik  u have proudly played for your country for 20 years and u continue to do so with so much honour and humility..Izhaan and I are so proud of everything you have achieved but also for who u r here’s to a few more thousand T20 runs".
