The iconic best seller novel 'Little Women' by Louisa May Alcott and Cho Ee-na is all set to be remade for the second time.
'Little Women' novel was made into a film in the year 1994 starring Winona Ryder, Christian Bale, Susan Sarandon, and Kirsten Dunst. The story revolves around two sisters who are growing up during and after the American Civil War, while their father is away fighting in the war. The story focuses on the struggle faced by the two girls under the guidance of their strong-headed mother.
This time it will be directed by Greta Gerwig, who had directed the Oscar-nominated film "Lady Bird". If everything goes well then the new version of 'Little Women' will feature Meryl Streep, Emma Stone, Saoirse Ronan and Timothée Chalamet. There is no news on what characters they will be playing in the film. According to some sources, Meryl Streep will be playing the role of Marmee March, mother of the two sisters. Emma Stone and Saoirse Ronan will play the two sisters. Timothée Chalamet will play the guy that proposed to one sister and married to the other.
