“I’m not going to say I was fine because I wasn’t.” That’s the opening line to the first trailer for Lifetime’s Britney Spears, 35, biopic ‘Britney Ever After’.
The film features Natasha Bennett playing Spears during performances and that infamous head-shaving meltdown. The cast also includes Peter Benson as Larry Rudolph, Clayton Chitty as Kevin Federline, Nicole Oliver as Lynne Spears, Nathan Keyes as Justin Timberlake, Markian Tarasiuk as Wade Robinson and many more taking on figures in Spears' life.
The movie, ‘Britney Ever After’, was greenlit in August. At the time, Spears' rep Jeff Raymond said that the singer "will not be contributing in any way, shape or form."
This is Lifetime's latest in a long line of musician-centered biopics, including the network's 2015 Whitney Houston film. Next up is a two-hour movie centered on the final years of Michael Jackson.
‘Britney Ever After’ premieres on Lifetime Saturday, February 18, at 8 p.m. ET.
