Bollywood director Kabir Khan has collaborated with Salman Khan for the third time for “Tubelight” after “Ek Tha Tiger” and “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, which became some of the biggest hits at the box office. A historical war drama “Tubelight” is about a cross border love story during the 1962 Sino-Indian war, the story revolves around an Indian man who falls in love with a Chinese woman.
Salman Khan plays the role of a mentally dim character (Tubelight) who overcomes his weaknesses to find his brother who has gone missing post the war between China and India. The film stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu, Sohail Khan, Om Puri and Mohammad Zeshaan in pivotal roles. Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a cameo in the film will play a key role in pulling the narrative forward.
“Tubelight” trailer has been released and it begins with an announcement that is being made on all India radio about the bombardment on Indian post that killed 264 soldiers and towards the end we hear Salman’s first dialogue “Faith is like a Tubelight. It lights up late, but once it does, there is a lot of brightness everywhere”.
The movie is slated to release on June 23rd 2017.
