Disney and Pixar have announced they are swapping the release dates of ‘The Incredibles ‘ and ‘Toy Story 4’.
The ‘Incredibles 2’ is moving up a year to June 15, 2018, while ‘Toy Story 4’ is moving back a year to June 21, 2019.
According to Disney sources speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the films are exchanging dates because Pixar "accelerated" the production schedule for The Incredibles 2 for reasons that were not explained.
The synopsis for Toy Story 4 revolves around Woody and Bo Peep’s love story, a departure from the Andy storyline the previous three films focused on. Pixar has yet to release any details for Incredibles 2 other than saying Brad Bird will return to direct the sequel. John Lasseter will helm the fourth entry in the Toy Story franchise.
