In recent times, one of the common problems faced by couples is the inability to reproduce even after a number of attempts. The medical term for this condition is called Infertility. Coming to the definition of infertility, it is a condition in which women cannot conceive after twelve months of regular sexual intercourse without the use of birth control pill.
The exact cause of infertility is difficult to determine but there are certain reasons why this problem might arise in couples. It can be because of lack of certain hormones in men and women, problem with ovulation in women, sedentary lifestyle, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and body weight.
Although, there are several treatments available to improve the chances of getting pregnant like: fertility surgery, and hormone treatment, but it is also best to opt for natural remedies to rectify this problem. One of the major factors that play a vital role in infertility is unhealthy food and lifestyle habits. Hence, in order to rectify this problem make sure you eat nutritious food.
Foods to eat:
• Banana- One cannot stress enough on the health benefits of eating banana, especially when it comes to conceiving. This delicious fruit is rich in potassium and Vitamin C, which plays an essential role in improving the quality of sperm and eggs. Banana also contributes to the development of Zygote, which helps in regulating hormones that are involved in the ovulation process.
• Eggs- Couple who are unable to conceive must incorporate eggs into your daily diet. The presence of Omega 3 helps in improving fertility level. Eggs also contain choline , which lowers the risk of birth defects.
• Pumpkin seeds- Pumpkin seeds help in increasing semen and testosterone levels. These seeds aid in proper blood circulation to all the reproductive organs, which in turn strengthen the reproductive system.
• Garlic- since ancient times, garlic is known as a fertility boosting ingredient and it consists of an antioxidant, selenium, which aids in strengthening the sperm flow. Garlic also supports fertility as it aids in maintaining the estrogens balance in the body.
