‘Stranger Things' star Millie Bobby Brown struggled to fight back tears as she accepted a top MTV award on Sunday night.
She said: "Whoa. Oh, my goodness. This is extremely heavy. This is special to me. All right, first I want to thank everyone who voted and especially MTV. I would like to thank Netflix, Ian Patterson, Stan Cullen, thank the crew for being my second family. Guys, I love you. And I want to thank — I want to thank my family. I love you guys. And my mum and dad for being so supportive. I want to thank, Jenny, and you are like my best friend. You are not even like my publicists. I also want to thank, I also want to thank my manager, Melanie Greene, couldn't be here tonight. Mel, I am thinking of you, I love you so much. Steve and all of WME. I also, my goodness. Going blank, oh, okay. Shawn Levy for being one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Everything you taught me will carry on for the rest of my career. And lastly, I want to thank the Duffer Brothers. They created a badass, female iconic character that have got the honor to play. Thank you guys so much! I love you!"
Millie later returned to the stage alongside her co-stars to accept the award for Show Of The Year for ‘Stranger Things’.
