Following reports that Beyoncé’s new single “7/11″ would hit radio waves next week, when her self-titled Platinum Edition Box Set drops, an apparent snippet of that song was leaked online. Now a preview of the second tune, “Ring Off”, has also found its way online.
In true Queen B fashion, the singer can be heard singing about her independence and unwavering self-confidence in the song “7/11″. The lyrics are:
"Put my foot down / Yeah my hands up / My hands up / Flexin' while my hands up," she sings.
“Ring off” on the other hand tells the story of a woman trying to leave a bad relationship. The lyrics are:
“In the mirror you would stare / And say a prayer / Like, 'I wish he said I'm beautiful / I wish it didn't hurt at all'" before moving into the empowering chorus, "Until you had enough then you took that ring off / You took that ring off / So tired of the lies and trying and fighting and crying / You took that ring off / Ooh now the fun begins!"
The lyrics of these 30-second song leaks add fuel to the rumours of Jay Z and the 34-year-old splitting up.
Along with these two songs the album includes remixes of Beyoncé’s tracks featuring guests like Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Pharrell and Mr. Vegas. S
In addition, the follow-up album is also set to include her original self-titled visual album (which was released last December), a live performance DVD that chronicles her year-long Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, and a mini version of the official 2015 Beyoncé calendar and more.
