At the 2017 London fashion week many renowned designers such as Angela Mitchell, Christopher Bailey, David Koma, Emma Charles, Oliver Spencer, and Paprika showcased their collection. The much talked about show at this year’s London Fashion week was of Ireland based London designer Simone Rocha, who made a bold statement by using older models to showcase her collection. She has honoured age diversity by choosing not one but four older women to walk for her. After the trend of transgender and plus sized models walked the ramp at the New York Fashion week, it was Simon Rocha’s turn to choose 73 year old Italian model and actress Benedetta Barzini, 70 year old American born model Jan de Villeneuve, Marie-Sophie Wilson and Cecilia Chancellor both 50 years old to walk the ramp by wearing her clothes r. The trend of youthful pastel pinks were replaced by sophisticated and elegant palettes of black and brown with a mixture of red which had a more practical and real-world feel.
