Serena Williams shows off her curves and her curls on the cover of Vogue's April 2015 issue in a turquoise Rag & Bone sheath dress and minimal makeup, under the lens of Annie Leibovitz. The World No 1 posted a picture on her Instagram account in which she is lounging in the sun, bikini-clad, while reading the Vogue magazine.
Labeled "Queen Serena" by the fashion magazine, this is the second cover for the 33-year-old champion, the first being her appearance alongside Ryan Lochte and Hope Solo in a 2012 issue ahead of the London Summer Olympics.
The 19-time Grand Slam singles champ, opens up about the different dimensions to her personality to the magazine saying that the Serena off the court is nothing like the confident player on it.
"Off court, I am constantly crying or complaining," she said. If you think you have body issues, it may come as a surprise to you that Serena, who is the epitome of athletic fitness, has them too. Talking about her being in two minds about her naturally muscular physique she has said, "I hated my arms. I wanted them to look soft."
The interview also features Williams speaking about her decision to return to Indian Wells this year (she was interviewed before she was forced to pull out of the tournament this week, due to injury).
