Jamie Oliver has enlisted the help of Ed Sheeran, Sir Paul McCartney and even Hugh Jackman for his latest food campaign, The Food Revolution. The campaign is to build awareness on obesity, to support compulsory pratical food education and create a movement powerful enough to force governments to take action.
“It’s essential that we arm future generations with the life skills they urgently need in order to lead healthier, happier, more productive lives. I passionately believe this is every child’s human right and I hope you agree,” the celebrity chef wrote on his blog.
Oliver has labelled 15 May as Food Revolution Day and is hoping to get one million people to sign a petition to put mandatory food curriculums in schools with the hope of reducing obesity and other diet-related diseases.
Hugh Jackman shared a teaser clip to Instagram on Wednesday revealing that he'll take part in Jamie’s Food Revolution Day on Friday: "I've been working with Jamie Oliver on something special for Food Revolution Day this Friday, May 15."
Oliver wrote on Facebook: “Here it is guys! I am honestly lost for words and so i'll let this video do all the talking. Wherever you are in the world Watch it. Sign It. Share It. Jamie xx #foodrevolutionday.”
