Michelle Obama's new book: More than 1.4 million copies sold

Former first lady, Michelle Obama’s book 'becoming' has a massive demand, with over 1.4 million copies sold just in the first week. The memoir was released on November 13th.

This book gives an insight into Michelle's personal life. It provides a detailed description of her journey from her childhood to post the days when her husband Barack Obama was the president of United States of America. In the book, she opens up about her miscarriage and couple therapy. She also described an incident while she was in the white house, when she and her daughter Malia Ann Obama snuck from the white house to see it lit up in rainbow colours, honouring the decision of marriage equality. She even talks about President Donald Trump.

On the first day itself, the book made a record for being one of the year's biggest debuts as it had more than 725,000 copies sold to public.
