Luxe Leather

The winner for the style of the season is leather everything: tops, jackets, pants, skirts, trench coats, bags, and more. You name it, and we’ve seen it in all leather, or at least with leather accents! Now some of you may disagree and question how the tough fabric earned a bad reputation for being bold — also because of the unfortunate case of Ross’s leather pants in Friends’— but this season, it’s all about to change!

Ditching all frigidity, this season, the front row faces at fashion Month and our favourite street style stars wore PVC leather, patent, and vinyl – whether it was a hyper-shine trench, glossy trousers or patent booties. And the catwalks showed that it doesn’t have to be in black either — Loewe served up butterscotch-coloured leather dresses and Givenchy showcased coats in petrol green.

How to wear:

  • There’s nothing that screams rockstar more than a biker jacket over a white graphic tee and frayed denim. Tie your look together with black heels and some cool shades.
  • The real beauty of the leather look is that it works perfectly well with any scenario that you can think of. Winter workwear? Go for a high-waisted leather skirt and pair it with something softer, like a button-up shirt. Winter holiday?  Look for vinyl trousers and pair it with a tucked-in tee and fur coat. Attending a birthday bash? Try a leather mini dress in red with a gold washer hem and coordinating lips.

A leather dress is luxe – not to mention that it creates a full look with just one piece. So depending on the silhouette, you can wear it at the office, off-duty, or for a night out. To cop this look, opt for a black, grey, navy, or tan dress, as they’re easy to restyle with each wear.
