Katy Perry has jumped into the Twitter spat between Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj – and brought Rihanna along with her, too.
“Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman…,” Perry wrote.
Minaj, 32, quickly favorited the tweet.
Perry then tweeted, “The real travesty is where is the shine for #BBHMMVideo when VMA eligibility period was 7/7/14-7/1/15 & that gem dropped 7/1... @MTV,” calling out her pal Rihanna’s graphic new music video.
After the MTV VMA nominations were released Nicki Minaj tweeted about her video “Anaconda” not being nominated for ‘Video of The Year’ and about “Feeling Myself” not getting any nominations at all.
The line from Katy’s tweet, “pit women against other women” was certainly taken from Taylor’s initial tweet towards Nicki. “@NICKIMINAJ I’ve done nothing but love & support you. It’s unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot..” Taylor wrote on Twitter after assuming Nicki’s MTV VMAs rant was about her.
The 32-year-old rapper then clarified that "didn't say a word" about Taylor before blaming "white media and their tactics" which quickly spurred an invitation from Swift for Minaj to join her onstage. "@NICKIMINAJ If I win, please come up with me!!" Swift tweeted. "You're invited to any stage I'm ever on."
