Jennifer Lawrence, 27, and director Darren Aronofsky, 48, have split after over a year of dating.
The Hunger Games actress, 27, and director, 48, began dating after working together on the 2017 film ‘Mother!’. Aronofsky directed the thriller in which Lawrence stars and their relationship continued to blossom despite their 22-year age difference.
Recently, Lawrence revealed she had a crush on the director long before she started working with him.
“I had a crush on him when he pitched to me, and that was like a year before we started rehearsing, but he was a professional, which only made it worse for me,” she told ‘The Hollywood Report’ in an interview.
“So we just kind of formed a friendship. He knew how I felt, he never told me how he felt — I mean, I assumed — but we just formed a friendship, and then the friendship turned into a partnership for the movie once we started working, and then, when the movie was done, I was like, ‘Alright, you’re my boyfriend!’ And he was like, ‘Alright, I’m your boyfriend.’”
The couple made their red-carpet debut at the Venice Film Festival earlier this year.
Aronofsky has a son, Henry, 11, with former flame Rachel Weisz.
