Gwen Stefani has been announced as the new face of Revlon! The No Doubt singer, 47, joins fellow musician Ciara, and actresses Olivia Wilde and Halle Berry, by becoming a spokesman for the beauty brand.
In a statement, the musician cum designer gushed, "Ever since I was a young girl, I have used makeup as a form of self-expression ... I am passionate about makeup and how it can showcase your individuality and creativity. Partnering with an iconic beauty brand such as Revlon felt like a natural fit."
Revlon posted a video on their Instagram on January 2, writing: “Starting 2017 with a whole lot of love — and an announcement you don’t want to miss. #RevlonXGwen #ChooseLove.”
“Happy New Year everyone,” Gwen says during the announcement. “Ok, this is the news. I, me, Gwen Stefani, am the newest Revlon global brand ambassador!”
The singer also spoke about her disastrous retail experience as a makeup artist in her twenties.
“I was a makeup artist when I was in my early twenties at the mall, they never trained me,” she said. “I worked behind the counter there for Borghese, which nobody bought because it was expensive, and Ultima II, which I think is actually owned by Revlon.”
